Bayer HealthCare and Applied Radiology are pleased to offer access to two MRI safety training programs developed by Dr. Frank Shellock.
Frank G. Shellock, PhD, FACR, FACC, FISMRM, an internationally respected MRI safety researcher and educator, has developed this series to address the needs of staff in the MRI department and throughout the hospital or imaging center. To maintain patient and staff safety, and meet the American College of Radiology and Joint Commission guidelines, all staff members should receive annual training in MRI safety. In accordance with The Joint Commission for Diagnostic Imagining Services, All radiologic technologists who perform MRI procedures must participate in ongoing education that includes annual training on safe practices in the MRI environment.
